Some thing. That I have.
Maybe it'll grow on me...

So, um, I know that this new Joe User is supposed to be all fancy and better, but being as computer illiterate as I am, I don't think I like it as well.  Honestly, though I used the forums more than the websites, I like how everyone had their own little space and we could find out stuff about them.  It was nice.

Now, I really don't know a whole lot about the internet and the technical side of JU, but I kind of miss the old one.

Will the other features come back ever?

You can kick me off if you want, it won't hurt my feelings, but I thought I'd give my two cents.

I think it's sad (and telling) that so often when people aren't giving strictly praise, the fear is they will get kicked off.

I agree with you, about the new JU, by the way.

Thanks. I'm glad it's not just me.

I'm not sure I understand.  Eveyrone still has their own blogs.

I'm getting used to it.  Definitely a change, but like all humans I believe in our adaptibility.  I can still find stuff and I have a feeling it'll grow on me, well, us.

I suppose it has to, doesn't it?

We do have our own blogs still(although my freakin' points have been severely diminished for some reason)...it's just a matter of figuring out how to navigate to them.  If all else fails, just hop in the forms and dig for stuff.

I never really understood the point system too well...but I took a serious drop in that little box in the upper left...or that's where it was...did they dock us for grousing?

I didn't like it, but as I navigate it's starting to grow on me.

I'm sure as functionality is increased it'll only get better.

And I love the fact that it no longer navigates away from the page before posting a comment on the blogs.

I think everything is too far apart.

Comments for an article are below a "Popular Articles" list. Features articles are under a list of channels that takes up half the screen.

And the title of an article is below an advertisement, making it more difficult to see what the page is about. I'd prefer the order

title

Just go to 'forums.joeuser.com' instead of www.joeuser.com. Works like a charm!

We're not going to kick anyone out for not liking the new format, don't worry

Whenever there's a change, it always takes folks a bit to get used to things.  There was a big flame-out over the forum update two years ago, but everyone got used to the changes after a while.  That'll happen here too as everyone figures out where the buttons moved to.

We actually consolidated a lot of scattered pages and features from the old JU into the Dashboard.  It's actually easier now to manage your account and blog information now, and the editor should be MUCH easier to use.

Of course, there will be things that don't work, features we need to add.  We're looking at all the feedback we get from users as we move forward.  I can't promise we'll implement everything requested, but we are taking almost everything into consideration.

Like my blogger points for instance? I really hate to bitch and moan, but could someone check that out? Seriously from like 32000 or so down to 6900 kinda sucks...

Can you cash in your point for prizes lke at Chuck E Cheese?

It looks like everyone's points might have been reduced.  As long as it's across the board there really is no difference.  Whn the kids and I play "Find the yellow cars" we don't keep score by counting cars.  We keep score by being "plus" or "minus" the other players.  So we all have our own score and reinforce math skills.

Right, right...well, I guess I'll live with it then.

The old points calculation was, in a word, wrong.  There were inconsistencies and errors all over the place.  Everyone's been recalculated with a much simpler formula.  The results should be consistent now across all users and all accounts.

Bummer about the points!  I was so happy to finally be in the top 25...it only took FOREVER, and now, alas, back to the 30's.
